About the Policy Advisers Program

Islands First is seeking experienced, intelligent, and hard-working individuals with a strong interest in international environmental policy-making to participate in our Policy Advisers Program. Policy Advisers will work in the UN Mission of a Small Island Developing State and be supervised by the Mission’s Ambassador and the team of international lawyers at Islands First. Policy Advisers will be based in New York, New York and are currently unpaid. Applicants should have their own sources of funding for travel to and from New York and for living expenses during the duration of their time in the Policy Advisers Program. Policy Advisers will be expected to work a minimum of 20 hours per week for a term of at least three months. Preference will be given to those able to work full time or commit to a longer duration.
