Emily Shaw is a graduate student at New York University, where she is pursuing a M.A. degree in Environmental Conservation Education concentrating in Environmental Policy. She holds a B.A. in Political Science and Environmental Studies from the University of St. Thomas, Houston, and is the first recipient of the NYU Steinhardt EnergyWatch Fellowship.
Before coming to Islands First, Emily Shaw worked at the district office of New York State Assemblymember Brian Kavanagh. She is interested in environmental policy, especially policies related to climate change, environmental justice, and endangered species, and plans to pursue her career and further studies in these fields.
