Abigail Gacusana

Abigail Gacusana recently completed a Masters of Science in International Development at the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom. Abigail’s academic work focused on poverty reduction, project planning, and sustainable development. She has also written a Masters dissertation on community-based adaptation, and has conducted research on climate change adaptation in Bangladesh, where she identified local adaptation strategies and analyzed their impacts on livelihood security and rural development.

She holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations and Diplomacy from the De La Salle University in the Philippines, and has previously worked for NGOs and international organizations in New York, Bangladesh, the Philippines, and the UK.
